Preparation, preparation, preparation

Preparation is the key to good decorating.
hotelroom-wallpaper1. Make sure you have all the tools and materials ready before you start.

2. Know your limits – if a job is too tricky, get a professional in to do it for you, as mistakes could prove to be expensive.

3. Remove old wall coverings and flaky paint.

4. Wash walls. It is also a good idea to wash the walls down with sugar soap to remove any greasy marks or dirt.

5. Clean and dry walls. All walls and ceilings must be smooth, clean and perfectly dry before you start papering.
